Raymond E. Nelson and his wife Naomi Nelson were vintage car collectors and lived in North Hollywood, CA from the 1930's though the 1970's. Ray built garage extensions onto his home in order to create space for his growing antique automobile collection. Today, the house, aptly called "The Roadster House" still remains almost just as Ray and Naomi left it. Ray loaned many of his cars out to the movie industry as "picture cars". His Stanley Steamer can be seen in the film "The Great Race" starring Jack Lemmon and Natalie Wood.
